A clear mind

Who would have thought -
That not thinking at all,
Was harder than thinking?
---
A quest - to keep the mind clear.
---
Keep my mind
From thoughts of you
From all the feelings you induce
- It's just not worth it.

that's way i have been feeling. sometimes it is just easier to push that person out of your head and keep moving.

Hmhm. I think i succeeded in not thinking - it's worth it. But it also makes life a little boring at times. Might be strange, but sometimes i wish i still was heartbroken.. at least you have something on your mind.

Hey Leila.

I hope all is well these days. (Hopefully the somewhat melancholic themes of your posts are just an artistic release and that you're very happy overall)...

Leonardo Da Vinci is quoted as saying something like:

Men of lofty genius, when they are doing the least work, are most active.

Maybe that's kind of like not thinking being more difficult than thinking...

We have a long weekend here in Canada so I hope to get caught up in Blogtown...

Anyway, have a terrific weekend!

Take care out there, Leila!

Your Pal,

Zambo.

k - Advisable, yes. Easy...no.

jeeps - yeah, you know i think the same thing sometimes! that it gets boring, not thinking. it's just such a natural thing for me, i think, i think, i think...i never stop!

zambo - you kinda hit the nail on the head there - i am actually very happy at this point in time...very happy! when i write about sad things it gets them out of my system so they don't keep bouncing around my head and festering! I like that quote, he was a wise man that one!

I tried that one time. And I managed to do it until the aching was over. It's not easy, I know.
But now I know better or know a better way. One should not stop or push away thoughts. One can endure suffering and become strong. It's a lot more difficult to endure physical pain than self-pity or sadness. I recommend pain killers for physical pain everytime but not for psychic pain. Psychic pain must be felt and relished. To release it.

My word Leila you are really struggling with this aren't 'cha? You still sound down...

Aside from Time and Distance the best defence is a good offence.
Something NEW, something out of the ordinary is in order.
Stop looking in the rear view mirror and get your eyes back on the road before you miss your turn.

We experience joy and learn more about everything when we are at play.

Hey Leila!

I hope things continue to run smoothly.

Just making my rounds and thought I'd mention that I recently purchased a Leonardo Da Vinci action figure...I've posted some pix and info about it if you're interested...

Take care out there, Leila!

Your Pal,

Zambo.

P.S.
I did a search and it would appear that there's no IKEA in South Africa...Is this so? There's some controversy about their recently released catalogue...

Not thinking of anything is definitely one of the most difficult things in the world for me. There's too much suffering the world for me to just stop thinking about it. If I stop, I feel like I'm ignoring the problem.

I hope all is well with you, Leila.

imemine - i am undecided. everyone's arguments are convincing when they truly believe in something. but i agree, you shouldnt run away from your troubles. but sometimes, taking a break is advisable.

Homosapiens - I struggle with these things in my mind, it never gives up! That's why sometimes I just want to STOP thinking. But thanks for the advice, I will do my best to take it. And hope my best is good enough...

Zambo - thanks, and nope, no ikea here!

Benjamin - hehe, yeah Homo always makes sense. I'm not that into films though, I must admit.

Antoine - yeh...precisely.

I wasn't, Leila, but they're brilliant if you pick good ones and there's so many out there. Harold and Maude (1971)... x
