sometimes people are a certain way because at that moment they can't be any other way and then they try to play it down to you to avoid it because they're not proud, and they want to forget but they can't quite.
It would be great if we could just hang around with charming even-keeled people because those volatile types, fascinating as they may be, are quite tedious.
We all have off-days and nobody's perfect.. even, dare I even think it, Hannah Montana.
Okay before I forget, Donn the comment about Hannah Montana was dead on...it made me almost pee myself.
I think this post caught my attention because of your diction. The idea of "playing something down" was something I thought was slang for the U.S. Obviuosly I know nothing outside the bubble I have lived in most of my life but I just felt it an interesting thing to point out.
Because of my background and the people I associate with at work, basically the psychologists who love playing devil's advocate, I have to disagree.
I think choice is always there, no matter what. Hannah Montana could have a sold out concert and have thirty seconds to be on stage and decide she had a headache and refund all the money. The choice isn't necessarily easy, but it's always there.
I do think the circumstances have a huge influence, but people know that an excuse is just an excuse and there is no way to get around that when you make a decision, it can only fall back on you.
Donn - living in SA Im stil not protected from the horror that is HANNAH MONTANA. But yeah. Not just off days, when you can't say what you wanna say cause of a million and one factors!
Chris - Yes! (I will respond when i figure out the answers to your Q's btw....)
How can you disagree? I speak from my own experience! I dont let myself be any other way.. as I said above, a million and one factors get in the way!
Nice new photo :)
Siegfried - hahahahha!! To be honest it was confusing, i know, but i like it! I get it, and that's all that matters :P but its about society preventing you.. kinda i guess. whats wrong and whats right..
I think Walker only furthur proves my point that one gets "caught up in the moment" of a riot, and hangs their head later. If hindsight shows a mistake, then a different path could have been taken and there was a choice.
I am by no means saying that 99.99%ininity of me wouldn't do a given thing in a given situation...just that I do still have the choice.
If my house is on fire and my wife is trapped inside (circumstances of my generic scenario), I will find a way in and get her. I will not think right then because I will act on impulse, and in my heart it may seem that all I could do is try my best to save her. But I don't have to do that, I just do it.
I think what I mean to say is that to quote you "they can't be any other way" uses the word can't and to me implies never. I live by "never say never," so we can agree to disagree on this one thing.

Maybe thats what the moment requires at the time.
Every circumstance has it plan of action even if its against the grain.
Emotions are the number one cause of actions and in many cases actions people are not proud to diplay but do just the same.
Like a riot when quiet people get caught up in the moment and hang their heads later
